Industries - Let people have a say on emissions bill

A large group of business leaders representing all sectors of the economy today called on Parliamentarians to allow public comment on the latest changes to the Emissions Trading Bill. 

They say there have been numerous recent changes to the Bill in select committee and the public should have their say on them.      

With the potential for large economic losses from the legislation, they say Bill should be subject to thorough public scrutiny.

In a letter to all MPs today, they requested that public submissions now be invited on the amended Bill.
