Significant three-year trans-Tasman deal
Gen-i wins significant three-year trans-Tasman managed ICT services deal with Norfolk Group Limited
Auckland, 7th July 2008 – Gen-i has won a ground-breaking managed ICT contract with Norfolk Group Limited (ASX: NFK), an international provider of integrated building and engineering services.
Gen-i will now provide trans-Tasman converged IT&T services to Norfolk under one single service agreement spanning three years. This extends the existing relationship between the two companies in Australia and New Zealand.
This deal follows a number of other recent wins and contract renewals for Gen-i among trans-Tasman businesses, attracted by its ability to provide a full range of ICT services seamlessly in both markets.
David Gregson, chief information officer for Norfolk, said, “Our successful telecommunications relationship with Gen-i has given us the confidence to expand our partnership to incorporate managed ICT services. Norfolk appointed Gen-i as a result of its proven track record, trans-Tasman capabilities and best-fit solution.
“The new services from Gen-i will deliver major benefits to our organisation including improved response times to IT issues and a positive impact on costs.”
Greg Mikkelsen, general manager of Auckland key clients and enterprise for Gen-i, said, “This is a landmark win for Gen-i, providing trans-Tasman converged IT&T services under a single service umbrella. The Norfolk agreement demonstrates Gen-i’s ability to provide clients with quality, converged solutions across both New Zealand and Australia and our continued focus on strengthening services and sustaining client relationships.”
Norfolk will transition from the incumbent service provider to the Gen-i managed ICT service in stages commencing immediately, with the full transfer completed by September.
