nzherald.co.nz’s gig guide powered by Eventfinder.
nzherald.co.nz, New Zealand’s leading online news site has extended their entertainment section to include a gig guide. Featuring gigs listed from all over the country, the guide is provided through a content syndication agreement with eventfinder.co.nz, New Zealand's largest national events calendar.
Eventfinder's Chief Executive, Michael Turner, says that "this is the largest syndication agreement of its type in New Zealand. It means that promoters, band managers and artists who list their gigs on Eventfinder will now have their gig exposed to nzherald’s huge audience."
nzherald had 2.3 million unique visitors in July 2008, with more than 542,000 in the entertainment section, according to Nielsen Online.
"This is a great partnership for us, as we can now offer our readers an even better content experience. Readers can now go to nzherald’s entertainment section to get all their news, reviews and gigs without the need to go anywhere else." says Warren Lee, Chief Executive Officer of APN Online.
Eventfinder already has a content syndication agreement with TimeOut, The New Zealand Herald's weekly entertainment magazine, providing theatre, festival and wider events as well as concerts and gigs.
"Event marketers and promoters now only have to list their event in one place, on Eventfinder, and we take care of distributing that information through our syndication partners like the Herald, both online and in print" says Turner.
"There are further agreements with some of New Zealand’s highest profile media companies to be announced soon."
eventfinder.co.nz was launched in January 2006, and has grown to become New Zealand's largest national events calendar.
The site is unique in that event promoters, marketers and publicists can enter event information, which is then distributed automatically to eventfinder.co.nz, thehive.co.nz, gigs.co.nz, nzherald.co.nz and TimeOut magazine.
