Nova Gas
energy Prices Not On The Increase
Nova Gas announced
today that their energy prices are not currently on the
increase in the Wellington and Auckland areas, unlike price
rises that other power company customers are experiencing at
the moment.
Cressida Gates, Nova Gas Spokesperson said: ``We are committed to providing our customers with competitively priced gas. Households in Auckland and Wellington can also benefit from duel fuel pricing, meaning if customers use gas and electricity they no longer need to pay two daily charges for both.’’
If a Nova Gas customer already uses gas for heating their hot water or for home heating then they are likely to be using far less electricity than a standard household, therefore with no additional daily charge on electricity, customer’s are likely to make significant savings on their energy bills each month.
Ms Gates comments: ``We have customers who have made some significant savings. Some have seen a savings of $100 to $300 a year whilst we have a few customers who are saving up to $700 a year’’.
``The duel fuel option also means that customers receive one energy bill for both their gas and electricity accounts, have both their meters read in one visit and all their energy queries can be answered by just one phone call, which really appeals to busy people’’, continues Ms Gates.
However, Ms Gates also points out that it is important to compare electricity and gas pricing plans: ``The Consumer Powerswitch website provides a good independent analysis of electricity and gas price comparisons for people wanting to compare energy prices.’’
Nova Gas has also partnered up with
SuperGold Cards, the card which provides discounts and
concessions to all eligible seniors and veterans. Nova Gas
are offering all cardholders within the greater Wellington
and Auckland regions a discount of 14 cents per day (+GST)
off the gas fixed daily charge for Nova Gas’s standard
residential pricing plans.
