Unisys Appoints Paul Allen

Industry specialist returns to Unisys to lead trans-Tasman industry practice

Unisys has appointed Paul Allen as sales manager, Australia and New Zealand, Financial Services.

In this role Mr Allen will lead Unisys Global Financial Services team in New Zealand and Australia which provides industry-specific services and technology solutions for the financial services sector including outsourcing, infrastructure services, server technology and systems integration. He brings 12 years of experience in large and complex sales in the IT services industry to the role.

Mr Allen returns to the company having previously worked for Unisys Australia from 1999 to 2001 as a client account executive in the financial services team.

Most recently he was director Global Consulting Services – Pacific for Symantec where he was responsible for strategic sales across Asia Pacific and Japan. He has also held senior sales positions at Telstra-KAZ and EDS.

Mr Allen’s appointment follows the promotion of Rob Dewar to manage Unisys application services business across the Asia Pacific region.

Unisys local financial services clients include ING Direct, RHG (formerly RAMS Home Loans), St George and Westpac in Australia and ASB, PSIS and Westpac in New Zealand.

Mr Allen is based in Sydney and reports to Brett Hodgson, Manager Director, Unisys New Zealand, with a dotted line to Rueben Khoo, Managing Partner Financial Services, Asia Pacific.
