Wall Street Makes Smart Decision
- Mission Estate wine selected for Wall St Journal’s new wine club -

Amidst the turmoil of the credit crisis, a new opportunity has emerged for Mission Estate Winery in the North American market.

Mission Estate Sauvignon Blanc has been selected as one of only two New Zealand wines on offer at the launch of the Wall St Journal’s new wine club WSJwine.

WSJwine (www.wsjwine.com) is a partnership between the influential financial newspaper The Wall Street Journal and Direct Wines, a leading direct-to-home wine merchant. WSJwine allows wine lovers to order wines from all over the world, many of which are not readily available in store in the USA.

In addition to being one of only two New Zealand wines in WSJwine’s inventory, Mission Estate Sauvignon Blanc has been chosen for the club’s special offer which profiles a mixed dozen of international classics.

”Being chosen for WSJwine is a great honour and an indication of Mission Estate’s international reputation for quality,“ says Dean Smith, Mission Estate export manager.

”WSJwine is a great opportunity for Mission Estate Winery to expand consumption and recognition in the USA, and is especially significant as it comes during a very challenging time.

”We look forward to showcasing Mission Estate’s Sauvignon Blanc and, hopefully, to increasing demand for Kiwi wines in the USA.“
