Tomizone Extends Free iPhone Wi-Fi Hotspot Access To Dec 31

~ Extends Free Internet Access for iPhone / iPod Touch Users in Australasia To December 31, Including Free 500MB "Top-up" For Registered Users ~

13th October 2008 -- Tomizone, the global company offering innovative services for high-speed wireless Internet access, today announced that it has extended its free Internet access offer for Apple iPhone and iPod Touch users across its independent Australasian network of Wi-Fi Hotspots until December 31, 2008. The extension includes a free 500MB "top-up" for users who have already registered for the offer.

The number of Tomizone Wi-Fi Hotspots in Australasia -- which all support Apple iPhone and iPod Touch devices in addition to all Wi-Fi Laptops and gadgets -- has more than tripled since the Apple iPhone launch three months ago. Tomizone initially offered three months / 500MB of free usage to Apple iPhone / iPod Touch users to coincide with the iPhone's July 11 launch.

New users registering for Tomizone's free iPhone offer will have until December 31 to take advantage of up to 500MB of free Internet usage. Users who have already registered for the offer will have their free access period extended until December 31 and will receive an additional free "top-up" download allowance of 500MB.

Tomizone was the first Wi-Fi Hotspot provider to offer free access across its telco-independent network for iPhone and iPod Touch customers and to offer a free Wi-Fi Connector Application available from the Apple App Store, which gives one-touch access to any Tomizone Wi-Fi Hotspot.

The Tomizone Wi-Fi Hotspots work with any iPhone or iPod Touch, with no need to sign up for long-term or exclusive Wi-Fi access agreements with telecommunications network providers. In addition to emailing and web surfing, Tomizone Hotspots allow iPhone and iPod Touch users to download music from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, something iPhone users can't do over their 3G networks.

"Wi-Fi is the fastest Internet connection available for iPhones," said Steve Simms, Tomizone's CEO. "People are looking for a good Web experience, so they are seeking out places where Internet access is fast and affordable. People are walking into hotels and cafés and asking if they can connect their iPhones, and if they can't they are going elsewhere."

Tomizone Wi-Fi Hotspot owners can also generate income from users who pay a very low fee to access the Internet. After the December 31 / 500MB introductory free usage period, Tomizone iPhone and iPod Touch users can choose a variety of low cost options: an hourly rate (A$3/NZ$3) for 60MB of data downloads; a day pass (A$4/NZ$4.50) with 160MB; a seven-day pass (A$20/NZ$22.50) with 1.2GB or a 500 MB plan valid for 90 Days (A$30/NZ$30). Promotional usage and half of any usage revenue earned is distributed to Tomizone Wi-Fi Hotspot owners.

Tomizone has a simple Wi-Fi Hotspot solution with its free hotspot-enabling software included in selected Wi-Fi routers. When Tomizone is activated on the Wi-Fi router, the Tomizone service governs user access and usage, collects payment and distributes half the money collected to the Hotspot owner. The Hotspot owner can also choose to offer free access to guests or friends using a "Guest Access" feature built into their Tomizone Wi-Fi Hotspot service.
