Outstanding Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc Claims Gold Medal And Trophy
Master of Ceremonies John Hawkesby was delighted to announce Trinity Hill’s 2008 Sauvignon Blanc a winner at the Hawke’s Bay A & P Mercedes-Benz Wine Awards last night.
Trinity Hill’s multi awarded winemaker, John Hancock said “ this award is just fantastic and another indication that Hawke’s Bay is producing world class Sauvignon Blanc”.
Sauvignon Blanc is New Zealand’s most widely planted grape variety and accounts for 80% of wine exports. This award reinforces Trinity Hill’s commitment and ability in producing superior Sauvignon Blanc for the World’s markets.
Trinity Hill also won a Gold Medal and Trophy for its 2006 Bordeaux blend “The Gimblett” and “Best in Class” for both the 2007 High Country Pinot Noir and 2006 Noble Viognier.
Trinity Hill was established in 1996 in the unique and high quality Gimblett Gravels region in Hawke’s Bay. Trinity Hill currently holds the Air New Zealand Trophy for Champion Wine for its 2006 Gimblett Gravels Syrah.
