Leading New Zealand wine label Hunter’s is now being poured in London Heathrow’s leading airport lounges.

Jane Hunter of Hunter’s Wines said today that their 2007 chardonnay has been chosen as one of the two white wines now being poured in Heathrow’s Singapore Airlines business and first class lounges.

Hunter’s has been poured in first and business class flights a few times before in recent years. Hunter said the decision to pour their chardonnay in the lounges was a big boost for their brand.

``This will provide us with wider exposure for the discerning business traveller. We know this will be great for us and for the NZ wine industry’s status.’’

Hunter’s wines are sold in 23 countries, many of which are destination countries for Singapore Airlines.

Hunter’s produce 85,000 cases of wine a year and with more than 70 percent is exported. Their wines have won 120 national and international gold medals.

Jane Hunter is among a dozen New Zealand winemakers featuring in a national portrait exhibition on winemakers and her biography will be released next month.
