Trade Me becomes latest HooHaa credit transfer option for 80,000 HooHaa members, joining Vodafone, Telecom and Pago
AUCKLAND, 7 November 2008 – HooHaa, the mobile marketing channel with a highly profiled database of over 80,000 members, has signed up Trade Me as the latest company to accept credit from HooHaa accounts on a monthly basis. Trade Me joins Vodafone, Telecom, and Pago, as well as the SPCA and Variety Club, which all became designated credit transfer partners for HooHaa members in 2007.
Under HooHaa’s unique model, members are paid to receive relevant and tailored advertising to their mobile phones. They are then able to credit the money earned to accounts they hold with other entities which have payment agreements with HooHaa.
Trade Me Advertising Director, Michael Gregg says “We are delighted to allow HooHaa members the option of topping up their Trade Me accounts with money earned from targeted HooHaa advertising. HooHaa members, like those of Trade Me, are online savvy and digitally literate, so there is a lot of crossover. The relationship is a great fit for both companies.”
HooHaa CEO, Brian Hawker, welcomes the addition of Trade Me to the list of HooHaa credit transfer partners. “It’s important we offer our members useful, practical destinations where they can transfer credit and benefit financially, whether it’s paying your mobile phone bill or increasing your Trade Me purchasing power. Trade Me touches the lives of so many New Zealanders today - it is undeniably an outstanding business to partner with.
“In addition, the deal adds a lot of value to our advertisers, making HooHaa an even more compelling marketing channel. I am sure HooHaa members will take full advantage of this new ability to transfer credit to their Trade Me accounts”, says Brian Hawker.
