CONFIRMED FOR DHL EXPRESS FASHION EXPORT
SCHOLARSHIP
Auckland, 13 November 2008 – DHL, the world's leading express and logistics company, is delighted to confirm four of New Zealand’s top fashion and exporting industry leaders as judges for the DHL Express Fashion Export Scholarship, which closes for entries in less than two weeks on 21 November, 2008.
Leading New Zealand fashion designer, Trelise Cooper; founder of 42 Below, Geoff Ross; Fashion Industry New Zealand (FINZ), Executive Officer, Mapihi Opai; and DHL Express New Zealand, Fashion and Textile Strategic Account Manager, Jason Orlop will be lending their collective expertise to identify New Zealand’s hottest up-and-coming fashion exporter.
Entrants are asked to submit a design portfolio before 5pm on Friday, 21 November, 2008 for the chance to win a prize package that includes international freight to the value of NZ$10,000 and coaching in freight and logistics from DHL Express; as well as an individually tailored export mentoring package from Fashion Industry New Zealand (FINZ) and annual FINZ membership.
Three finalists will be showcased in a fashion show at an awards function to be held on Thursday, 4 December, 2008, where the winner will be announced. The star studded evening will conclude with the annual FINZ Christmas Party.
The DHL Express Fashion Export Scholarship is open to New Zealand fashion designers, who have been exporting for less than four years. Entries will be judged across a variety of categories, including: design, marketing, business and export.
