Intrepid launches "Australia - on location' trip
Intrepid Travel today launched its new "Australia" - On Location itinerary that it says will give travellers a real life experience of the locations and landscapes inspired by Baz Lurhmann's epic movie, Australia. In formulating the itinerary, Intrepid has focused on the themes of the film such as adventure, outback and transformation - with a view to giving travellers a truly life-changing adventure, mirroring the experience of Nicole Kidman's character in the film.
Darrell Wade, CEO and Cofounder of Intrepid says, "Our new "Australia" - On Location itinerary was created and inspired by the Australia movie themes and we believe that this new trip encapsulates these experiences for our travellers."
From the Kimberley to Kakadu, this ten day adventure blends Australian and Indigenous history with legend. Some of the real life experiences travellers can experience include Broome, the Gibb River Road, Windjana Gorge, Tunnel Creek, Bell Gorge, Mt Barnett Cattle Station, Kununurra, Kakadu National Park with a grand finale in Darwin.
Alison Mead, Intrepid Travel New Zealand General Manager says, "With the current economic climate Kiwis are looking for holidays closer to home. Australia is certainly a hot destination at present and it's right on our doorstep."
The trip "Australia" - On Location is available from April - October 2009. To start your own remarkable journey into the heart of Australia visit www.intrepidtravel.com
