UTC Fire & Security has announced that it has sold its New Zealand manned guarding and mobile patrol businesses to ISS Holdings NZ Limited. The company first announced its intention to divest these businesses last year. This agreement follows the recent sale of Chubb’s guarding and patrol businesses in Australia. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. UTC Fire & Security is a unit of United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX).
The sale is part of UTC Fire & Security’s strategy of focusing on the technology orientated products and services it offers to customers in key geographies. UTC Fire & Security will continue to offer electronic security solutions in New Zealand through Chubb Electronic Security and Chubb Home Security; transport customer valuables throughout New Zealand through its cash logistics business Chubb Security Services; provide a full range of fire detection, suppression, hvac and fire fighting products and services through its Chubb Fire and Services business; and provide Lock and Safe hardware and service products and commercial and residential alarm monitoring services and specialised monitoring services for Home Detention and EM Bail through Chubb Asset Security.
