Jag XF has Won an Award in New Zealand.
This week, the latest model of Jaguar’s beautiful fast cars philosophy has taken NZ Company Vehicle magazine’s Executive Car of the Year award.
Last week the XF was named the National Business Review’s Car of the Year.
Of all the executive cars driven by NZ Company Vehicle, the XF stood out according to Editor Robert Barry because of its “value for money, blend of performance, luxury and technology.”
Barry was particularly impressed with the 2.7 litre V6 engine turbo diesel model. “On the move cabin occupants were hard pressed to tell which engine is under the bonnet.”
The XF is available in four models from $114,990 for the petrol and diesel V6s to $169,990 for the Supercharged V8.
“The XF conveys a purposeful, muscular and dynamic look,” said Barry. “Gone is the conventional three box look, replaced by flowing lines.”
He noted the interior was quintessential Jaguar with combinations of leather, wood and brushed alloy trim, while the chassis provided sporting handling yet supple ride.
“It’s
fantastic getting continual recognition for the XF in New
Zealand, where it is outselling the German competitors, in
its market segment,” said Wallis Dumper, the Managing
Director of Jaguar New Zealand.
The majority of New
Zealand sales to-date have been for the diesel engine, which
has introduced a whole new breed of owner to the Jaguar
brand.
“While the Turbo Diesel is our biggest seller, the V8s are a modern interpretation of the traditional Jaguar’s sports sedan,” said Mr Dumper. “The Jaguar XF has appealed to both the traditional Jaguar owners and the first time Jaguar buyers who have changed brands.”
All XF models have a comprehensive safety package, with the V8 versions having even more luxury features than the V6 models.
