The national bakery chain are gearing up for the fruit mince tart silly season expecting to bake around 200,000 of the Christmas favourites in the lead up to Christmas.
The new Bakers Delight fruit mince tarts will tempt even the most discerning taste buds. These luscious tarts are made of a delicious golden, sweet, buttery short crust pastry. Encased in the pastry is a traditional moist blend of spiced fruit mince - mixing apples, sultanas and currants, with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
"Even though Kiwis are known for their modern take on Christmas day - with barbeques, the beach and brunches often outnumbering turkeys. The humble fruit mince tart is still a firm favourite and adds a touch of tradition to any Christmas celebration," says Colleen Milne from Bakers Delight.
