Interislander Launches Onboard Magazine

Interislander Launches Onboard Magazine for Passengers

In a move designed to enhance the passenger experience across the Cook Strait, Interislander have launched a new, glossy Onboard magazine full of traveller focussed articles.

Onboard Interislander is a 52 page colour glossy magazine featuring stories relevant to anyone travelling in New Zealand; the first of six issues over the coming year includes articles on Zealandia, The West Coast, the International Arctic Centre, Marlborough Wine, and Port Douglas.

Readers can also get an insight into the life of the Captain on one of the Interislander ferries, the importance of the Pounamu (Greenstone) carvings on board, trip ideas, puzzles and movie reviews. There is even a section dedicated to stories and pictures contributed by passengers.

"We are always looking for ways to give our passengers an even better experience as they travel on one of the World's great ferry journeys," comments Gavin Rutherford, sales and marketing manager. "Whether it is to read on board, or take home as a souvenir, it cements our place as the leader in providing a mixture of pleasurable travel with a great visual journey."

Supported by tourism focussed advertisers from throughout New Zealand, the first issue of the bi-monthly Onboard Interislander is available over the busy Christmas holiday and into 2009 on board the ferries and at the Wellington and Picton ferry terminals.
