CMC Markets Focuses on Increasing Financial Literacy

Kiwis can learn and develop trading skills with new educational tools

Increasing New Zealanders financial literacy has become the focus for CMC Markets NZ in 2009.

Sargon Elias, general manager of CMC Markets New Zealand, said generally New Zealanders tend to be comfortable dealing and discussing property however when it comes to investing in the share market they are less confident due to a lack of financial literacy.

“The financial markets are very dynamic and sometimes finding your feet is not that easy, we have focused the team on providing our clients with a range of tools to give them trading knowledge and skills, our aim is to create educated traders.” says Elias

CMC Markets has launched options such as podcasts and self paced learning modules, also 2009 will see CMC hosting seminars by leading independent trading experts.

Trading IQ is a comprehensive new guide to trading comprising of eight step-by-step modules and over 150 pages of course notes. Every new client to open an account receives Trading IQ to learn about trading CFDs and FX at their own pace.

An inspirational podcast from leading independent UK trader Nick McDonald and trading psychology and performance coach Steve Ward has been produced and is available to download from the CMC website. Opening a new account in February or March could also earn traders a free* iPod to store and listen to these ongoing podcasts.
