New Zealand Cooks Turn to Taste Magazine

Media Release 17 February 2009

New Zealand Cooks Turn to Taste Magazine

ACP Magazines’ monthly food title Taste posted yet another strong result in the latest National Readership Survey.

Now reaching 183,000 readers Taste reaches 49,000 more food lovers than it did in the same period last year, representing an impressive increase of 37%.

This incredible growth makes it the second fastest growing New Zealand magazine title. Taste has now recorded six consecutive period-on-period increases, bringing it to its highest readership ever. Circulation has also increased year on year to 30,442 copies per average issue, an increase of 1.4%.

“These positive results in both readership and circulation are testament to Taste’s enduring appeal with New Zealanders,” said ACP Magazines’ Group Publisher Debra Millar. “Taste has built an enthusiastic following since its launch in 2005. Readers are highly engaged with the magazine, cooking three recipes* on average from every issue. “In the current economic climate we know that New Zealanders are cooking more at home and are seeking recipes for interesting cost-effective meals. Taste’s growing readership and circulation show it delivers on both counts.”
