Search on for biggest business headache

Businesses have been asked to identify their biggest business headache.

Business support specialist Bizzone has asked 27,000 businesses on its database to describe their biggest business problem. It is the first major survey in which businesses have been asked to single out their biggest business issue.

Businesses have until Friday (27 February) to respond and the results are already being collated by Bizzone to feed into the Prime Minister’s Job Summit. At the Ministry of Women’s Affairs ‘Women in Business Workshop’ held this week Bizzone managing director Sarah Trotman agreed to send information to the summit.

“The whole idea is to get some positives out of a difficult economic climate by tailoring help for organisations,” Sarah Trotman says.

All businesses taking part in the survey will go into a draw to win a Bizzone Business Makeover worth $10,000 and at the Bizzone Business Expo the National Bank Seminar Series will be shaped to accommodate the major issues facing businesses.

Sarah Trotman owns and runs Bizzone, a multi-faceted business-support organisation that is being franchised globally. Bizzone organises the Business Expo, the largest event held for NZ business owners, the Excellence in Business Support Awards and a business magazine distributed to 40,000 businesses. Bizzone was the 29th fastest growing business on the latest Unlimited/Deloitte Fast 50 index.

“We expect many of the business headaches coming to us will be common problems being faced by many companies and we will be able to help a huge number of businesses by directing them to the support agencies that specialise in these very problems,” Sarah Trotman says.

“There are so many companies out there that provide support – whether it be cashflow management, banking, sales or marketing – in these tougher economic times it makes sense for every company to take advantage of the excellent business support services on offer in New Zealand. The Bizzone Business Expo was established for this very reason - to provide a wide range of business support services for every type of business so company owners don’t have to feel isolated - there is great help out there even in an economic downturn.”

Through its magazine and website Bizzone will be announcing some of the more interesting responses over the next few months and directing businesses to business support companies that can assist.

Any business throughout New Zealand can respond to the Bizzone Business Headache Survey by emailing admin@bizzone.com or calling 0800 BIZZONE.

The Bizzone Business Expo opens in:

Auckland from 27-29 May;
Wellington from 22-24 July and
Christchurch from 5-7 August.
