In the month of March the NZMMF have set up seminars in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
• Wellington Tuesday 17th March – Back to Basics Seminar with Lorraine Barry (Manager Dave Dobbyn, Electric Confectionaires Lucid 3), Entertainment Lawyer David McLaughlin, Teresa Patterson (Manager Scribe , Elemeno P) , Rebecca Caughey (Manager Ladi 6, Shapeshifter)

• Christchurch Thursday 26th March – Back to Basics Seminar with Entertainment Lawyer David McLaughlin , Teresa Patterson (Manager Scribe, Elemeno P) and more speakers to be announced.

• Auckland Monday 30th March - Radio Speed Networking Sessions with Manu Taylor (Brand Director BFM), Riccardo Ball (Programme Director The Rock), Tania Dean (NZ on Air)

Tuesday 17th March Wtgn and Thursday 26th March Chch – Back to Basic Seminar
The Back 2 Basics series is aimed at those who are new to management and wish to learn about the fundamentals of industry. This session will focus on all the basics you will need to know as a new manager including the basic contracts you require, setting up your business, how to put together a year plan for your band, what the difference between marketing and promo is, how to write a press release, putting together a press pack, how to plan a CD release, how to plan a tour and much more.
