China
Internet users can now use credit cards for China Hotspots
Beijing - 18 March 2009 – Tomizone, the largest Wi-Fi service provider in Australasia announced today that it has launched its Wi-Fi services at over 2,000 Hotspots throughout China.
Tomizone is working with partner Coordinate Technologies Communications Limited, the leading provider of wireless data interconnectivity services for Carriers accessing the China market, to make this possible. The partnership means the total number of Tomizone hotspots in China is expected to exceed 10,000 by the end of 2009.
Steve Simms, CEO of Tomizone, says that international and domestic internet users throughout China can now pay by credit card, or use a Tomizone internet account, to access the Wi-Fi Hotspots run by China Mobile and China Unicom. These include hotspots at major airports, popular hotels and other key venues.
“This is a significant breakthrough into one of the world’s fastest growing Wi-Fi markets and will benefit thousands of customers daily. The Tomizone service is the smart and easy way for our partner Coordinate Technologies to enable people to access Chinese Wi-Fi Hotspots.
“Already the demand for Tomizone has been high with many customers reporting that the service via China Mobile Hotspots is convenient and easy to use,” says Simms.
“We’ve had demand for this type of service for some time and so the Tomizone system made complete sense to us,” says Arthur Holcombe, VP of Business Development at Coordinate Technologies. “Tomizone is a great partner for us and our customers, and we look forward to helping Tomizone grow rapidly in the China market as a Wi-Fi service provider.”
Simms adds that the alliance between Tomizone and Coordinate Technologies in China means that there is strong local presence and platform from which Tomizone can continue to grow.
“Tomizone is now well on the way to executing its China expansion plan and is working with Coordinate Technologies to identify more key customers.”
