Leadership change for AMP Capital

For immediate release: Friday 3 April 2009<>

Leadership change for AMP Capital

Graham Law has been appointed Managing Director of AMP Capital Investors New Zealand Limited.

Mr Law joined AMP Capital Investors in 2007 and brings to the Managing Director’s role a strong risk

business management, compliance, governance and finance focus. Prior to joining AMP Capital Mr Law

was an Executive Director at Ernst & Young, specialising in Assurance services and Transaction

Advisory Support services for a diverse portfolio of organisations, including AMP Capital Investors.

Mr Law’s appointment completes the reorganisation of AMP Capital’s New Zealand business along asset

class lines where the heads of each asset class – private equity, fixed interest, property, listed equities

and so on – report to Australia and are members of international teams of experts of the same discipline.

Michael Clarke, Director International Business for AMP Capital Investors based in Australia said it is an

indication of the breadth and depth of experience in the New Zealand leadership team that we have

been able to promote someone from within.

Long term Managing Director Murray Gribben, is stepping down from the role to pursue his own

investment interests but has agreed to stay on to assist managing the Private Equity interests through

the execution of transactions that are due to be completed this year.

“It is a credit to Murray Gribben that Graham Law will be in a position to build on the success the New

Zealand business has achieved over recent years,” said Mr Clarke.

AMP Capital is New Zealand’s leading fund manager and an active participant in the development of

New Zealand and its economy through investment in property, private equity, infrastructure, and asset

management on behalf of New Zealanders. The company was winner of the recently awarded

Morningstar Fund Manager of the Year for 2008.
