Air New Zealand announces new General Manager for Mount Cook Airline

Air New Zealand announced today the appointment of Sarah Williamson as General Manager Mount Cook Airline.

Ms Williamson has been with Air New Zealand since 1999, most recently as General Manager Direct Sales based in Auckland. Prior to this role, she was General Manager Human Resources for Pacific and Regional Airlines.

Group General Manager Short Haul Airlines Bruce Parton said Ms Williamson was a highly experienced manager who would bring significant operational experience to Mount Cook Airline.

“In her current role Sarah is responsible for more than 700 staff and business worth more than half a billion dollars a year through our contact centres, Air New Zealand Holidays retail, wholesale and online business and Business Direct teams. She will bring valuable experience and fresh ideas to Mount Cook, which is an important part of our extensive regional network,” he said.

Sarah will shortly be moving to Christchurch, where she has family based.

Mount Cook Airline is a fully-owned Air New Zealand subsidiary, operating nearly 290 return trips a week to regional destinations throughout New Zealand with its fleet of 11 ATRs.
