Kumuka launches new tours to South Korea

Kumuka Worldwide has added breathtaking South Korea to its range of destinations with its first small group tours. The two new tours give travellers the opportunity to experience the culture and history of South Korea, incorporating the vibrant city life and the laid-back appeal of towns further south.

Richard Gardner, managing director Kumuka Worldwide Australia and New Zealand, says Kumuka is continuing to expand its portfolio of international tours and is excited to be launching its first adventure tours to South Korea.

“South Korea is a destination with many attractions for travellers and in developing our new tours we hope to encourage New Zealanders to travel to this culturally-rich destination and introduce them to its many appeals.”

The seven-day ‘Highlights of South Korea’ tour begins in the vibrant capital city of Seoul with a visit to the majestic Gyeongbokgung Palace and the bustling Namdaemun Market. In Seoul, travellers will be treated to a cooking lesson in creating Korea’s famous dish – ‘Kimchi’. The tour then journeys to Gyeongju – known as the ‘Museum Without Walls’ – where travellers will explore a wealth of  historical buildings, temples and artefacts as well as the Cheomseongdae Observatory, one of the world's earliest known existing observatories.

The ‘Highlights of South Korea’ tour also journeys to Korea’s largest port city, Busan, where travellers will have the chance to experience panoramic views over the city at Busan Tower and take in the sights and sounds of the Jagalchi Fish Market before boarding the bullet train to Seoul. Highlights of South Korea is priced from NZ $3,365 per adult.
