Global Conference To
Examine Requirements And Solutions
“As an
exporting nation, traceability and point of origin systems
are of increasing importance for our customers and their
associated regulatory bodies in international markets.”
said Peter Lennox, Group General Manager, New
Zealand Trade and Enterprise. “With counterfeiting
and product safety scares these systems and technologies for
delivering our assurance to customers are vitally important.
The GoTrace conference is a forum for hearing what is new
and what others are doing both here and internationally. As
such it is a conference that New Zealand Trade and
Enterprise is pleased to endorse.”
GoTrace, the Global Origin and Traceability Symposium will be held on 2nd July, 2009 at Te Papa Museum. Delegations representing scientists, producer groups, exporters, government agencies and service providers are expected. Case studies involving meat, dairy, wool, horticultural products are among just a few expected.
Keynote speakers have been selected based upon their leadership within respective fields. European, Australian and New Zealand speakers alike will brief the delegation on what is happening both here and in foreign markets and how shifting requirements will impact their ability to export in the future.
