Nokia Brings a New Era of Choice to Telecom Customers
Auckland – Nokia today announces it will be offering Telecom customers the broadest range of handsets, along with a choice of advanced Nokia services following the launch of Telecom’s XT Mobile Network on May 29.
Nokia’s managing director for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, Emile Baak, said, “We are excited that Telecom customers can now choose from the latest range of Nokia WCDMA handsets previously unavailable on Telecom’s CDMA network.
“Moreover, it will give New Zealanders access to more Nokia services than ever before such as Nokia Maps, N-Gage, Sports Tracker and Nokia Messaging,” Mr Baak said.
Nokia’s popular E71 and the newly released Nokia E75 are the first Nokia smart phones to be available on the new XT Mobile Network.
Also available at launch will be: the Nokia 6600 Slide, which is exclusive to Telecom; the Nokia N85, Nokia 3120 Classic, which will be available in mocha on the Telecom network only; and the Nokia 6120 Classic.
Nokia E71
The Nokia E71 is a stylish addition to the E-Series range, packing a variety of multimedia capabilities into the slimmest QWERTY smart phone on the market. The Nokia E71 is ideal for the person who is always on the go, with: support for both corporate and personal email; two customisable home screens; high speed data connectivity via 3G, HSDPA and WLAN networks; a 3.2 megapixel camera; A-GPS and Nokia Maps for navigation; a full HTML web browser with Flash support; and a digital audio and video player.
Nokia E75
The new Nokia E75 handset is designed to offer a rich mobile email experience. The Nokia E75 has a slide out QWERTY keyboard and efficient three-step email setup. This simplicity is achieved with the integration of Nokia Messaging, which ships with a device for the first time in the Nokia E75. The Nokia E75 also integrates tightly to other Ovi services and ships with Ovi Files, for storing files online, Nokia Maps, which works with the onboard A-GPS, and Nokia's games service N-Gage which is supported for the first time in a Nokia Eseries device. The Nokia E75 features a 3.2 mega pixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and a 16 million colour QVGA display.
Nokia N85
The Nokia N85 multimedia device is made to set new standards for mobile entertainment, gaming and sharing. The Nokia N85 redefines the mobile experience with an eye-catching 2.6" OLED screen and smooth, sleek finish. It boasts N-Gage gaming; music player with in-built FM transmitter; 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and geotagging capabilities; Nokia Maps with a three month integrated license for turn-by-turn voice navigation; and high-speed connectivity, all in one device.
Nokia 6600 Slide
The Nokia 6600 combines understated elegance and visual simplicity with Nokia’s intuitive functionality. Tapping the Nokia 6600 slide twice conveniently indicates time, snoozes, alerts and silences or rejects incoming phone calls. The Nokia 6600 Slide features a 3.2 megapixel camera which takes high quality pictures and videos that can be shared with others via Internet services, multimedia message or the large 2.2” QVGA display with 16 million colours.
Nokia 6120 Classic
The Nokia 6120 Classic combines simple style and functionality and allows the user to perform tasks such as downloading music, streaming video, browsing the Internet and receiving emails with attachments. The handset also lets you catch all the action on the video recorder and 2 megapixel camera with flash while listening to your favourite tunes on the music player.
Nokia 3120 Classic
The Nokia 3120 Classic is a practical and durable handset based on the user-friendly S40 platform. It allows the user to surf the web, send emails, and download content over a high speed 3G connection. The 2-megapixel camera with flash takes great photos which can be viewed on the 2" TFT QVGA display, supporting up to 16 million colours. It features an integrated MP3 player and stereo FM radio for listening to your favourite tunes.
