According to a nationwide survey of homeowners by The Nielsen Company[1], Harcourts has the highest awareness and is the most preferred real estate brand in the country.
The independent survey found that amongst New Zealand homeowners Harcourts had almost twice as much ‘top of mind awareness’ as its nearest rival, it was announced today by Harcourts New Zealand CEO Bryan Thomson at the group’s national conference.
Harcourts is also the most preferred[2] real estate brand of New Zealand homeowners according to the recent survey, achieving a significantly higher percentage of the national preference than the other real estate agency brands mentioned by respondents.
Mr Thomson says the research results prove how strong Harcourts is in New Zealand.
“The results are a superb endorsement of our brand and reflect the exceptional performance of the Harcourts team, which is focused on producing the best possible results for our clients which include buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants in all real estate segments.”
Mr Thomson says over the past year Harcourts has strengthened its position both domestically and overseas, with many sales consultants from other brands joining the group and considerable international expansion, including a joint venture with a major real estate company in South Africa.
“When times are tough there is typically a ‘flight to quality’, and we’ve definitely seen that in our industry over the past year, with the public looking for real estate companies and professionals with proven reputations and a strong brand, and many within the industry knocking on our door too,” he says.
“We’re confident Harcourts is the best in the business and these excellent survey results certainly show we’re a clear favourite with New Zealand homeowners.”
