2009 Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year announced in Monte Carlo
Cao Dewang. Chairman. Fuyao Glass Industry Group has been named the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year for 2009.
Michael Hill represented New Zealand at the prestigious awards in Monte Carlo.
Sunday 31 May 2009 - Cao Dewang. Chairman. Fuyao Glass Industry Group has been named Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year for 2009. Fuyao Glass makes windscreens and other glass products for cars and commands a market share in excess of 50% in China. The company is ranked fourth in the industry globally.
Michael Hill, founder of Michael Hill International, was at the awards in Monte Carlo representing New Zealand. Hill joined country winners from 50 countries around the world to meet the international independent panel of judges and to be inducted into the World Entrepreneur Of The Year Hall of Fame.

This year, the World Entrepreneur Of The Year
judging panel was chaired by J. Christer Ericsson, founder
of the JCE Group, and a country Entrepreneur Of The Year
judge for Sweden.
Entries are now open for New Zealand’s 2009 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year, which will be announced at an award banquet on 22 October 2009.
