New Building For Deloitte In
Hamilton
Staff and partners in the Hamilton office of
professional services firm Deloitte are enjoying new
riverside surroundings in Hamilton East, after a successful
move into the newly constructed Deloitte House at 24 Bridge
Street was completed this week.
The managing partner of Deloitte’s Hamilton office, Michael Crawford, said the move involving more than 120 staff and partners had been challenging but had gone to plan. “It has certainly been a massive job, but we’re all on deck in the new building now so the over-riding feeling is a sense of excitement – and just a little bit of relief as well.”
He said the move into Deloitte House was “long overdue” as the firm’s business activities in the Waikato had been grown consistently for many years. Deloitte has been based in Fonterra House in London St for 22 years.
“We’ve been doing well, and with that success comes the need for more people and more space so it has been a matter of waiting for the right location to become available for us. We’re confident that we have made the right move.”
Mr Crawford said the new building would provide a fresh, innovative working environment for staff and partners, but would also be a far more enjoyable place for clients to visit. "Apart from the river views, it’s great to have ample parking for both staff and clients.”
Another key aspect of the new Deloitte House was its commitment to sustainability. Mr Crawford said it had environmentally friendly lighting that adjusted depending on the level of natural light and a low-energy air-conditioning system.
