SQ Customers Get Help To Turn Toasters Into TVs

Farmers have been quick to sign up for Fly Buys through plant and animal nutrient specialist Summit-Quinphos, prompting the company to beef up its reward scheme for winter sales.

Summit-Quinphos brought fertiliser and animal nutrients into the popular Fly Buys scheme in March, and to date almost 90 percent of its active customer base has signed up.

“We’re off to an unbelievable start with the Fly Buys programme here at Summit Quinphos,” says general manager Willie Thomson, “and we’re already helping our valued customers get closer to their dream reward.

“But this is just the start. To consolidate the programme we have arranged for two of our key products to attract double and triple Fly Buys points, bringing farmers much closer to the Fly Buys television set rather than the toaster.”

Summit Quinphos is providing the opportunity for its customers to collect big points in a single hit.

“We’re offering Double Points on all dispatches of SustaiN valued at over $3500, for June and July. To make this deal even sweeter we’ve chucked in Triple Points on all Optimax dispatches valued at over $1500, when purchased with SustaiN.

“A typical sale of SustaiN for spring application would attract at least 300 Fly Buys points, and when coupled with an Optimax purchase could earn the customer about 360 points – a big help towards their Fly Buys dream.”

The offer is valid for dispatches through to 31 July. To qualify for Triple Points on Optimax, the customer must pick up the minimum purchase values of both SustaiN and Optimax during the promotional period.

Summit-Quinphos promoted the offer at Mystery Creek Fieldays, and through an extensive campaign to rural email addresses.

“It’s great to be able to provide a top-quality product that will boost farm production significantly and at the same time reward the purchaser with a gift of their choice,” says Mr Thomson.

“SustaiN will deliver the major kick pastures need going into spring. As soil temperatures start to rise again our customers will be able to get it on at the first opportunity.”

Mr Thomson says a significant number of farmers opted to skip their autumn applications of fertiliser and plant nutrients because of budget constraints, forcing manufacturers to curtail production and cancel import shipments, so supply could well be under pressure when the weather improved.

“We are hearing anecdotally that many of these farmers calculated they could afford to skip one seasonal application, but most intend to make up for it at the start of spring. By taking advantage of our Fly Buys offers, our customers will have product on hand for use precisely when they need it, regardless of how industry stocks hold up nationwide.”
