Eyede And Ptc Unite To Form New Entity

Eyede Ltd and PTC Enterprises today announced that the two organisations have joined together to form Eyede NZ as of the 1st July 2009.

The new entity, Eyede NZ, brings together PTC’s strength as a high-volume secure card producer with strong expertise in the banking sector, with Eyede’s market leading software solutions and chip development capability. This entity will be 100% privately owned and proudly 100% New Zealand.

Following trends in the global markets where consumers have a need for more secure identification (ID Cards) and payment cards, Eyede NZ is well placed to meet the local market demands as the financial institutions start issuing smart credit cards and debit (EFTPOS) cards with EMV chips.

Eyede founder, Wayne Stemp said, “The purpose of this new company is to combine the strengths of both organisations to benefit our customers. The eSOMS software solution can capture, manage and deliver customer data to the secure production facility in a single workflow that saves our customers money and time”

PTC CEO Andrew Corbett said “the combination of our businesses provides a fantastic opportunity for vertical and horizontal integration, strong regional presence, increased product and service offerings that will meet and exceed the new card and credential market demands including data solutions, card services and business process outsourcing”
