Pernod Ricard Pacific Signs Contract With AT&T

Pernod Ricard Pacific Signs Network Services Contract With AT&T

AUCKLAND, New Zealand, July 16, 2009 — AT&T* today announced that Pernod Ricard Pacific, the leading supplier of premium wines and spirits across Australia and New Zealand, has chosen AT&T to provide data communications and network services.

The new contract covers Pernod Ricard’s 43 wineries, vineyards and bottling facilities in New Zealand, and its offices in Auckland, Wellington, Sydney and Adelaide. Pernod Ricard will utilize AT&T Virtual Private Network (VPN) network connection to enable a high degree of flexibility, scalability and cost efficiency whilst maintaining effective redundancy.

The challenge was to design a solution that enabled large offices, vineyards in relatively remote locations, and individual users to be connected seamlessly, giving all users the same level of secure access in a cost effective manner.

“We have worked with AT&T for more than six years for internet services and found AT&T excellent to work with. AT&T New Zealand team has been innovative in their design and very responsive in meeting our needs along the way. The team is also looking at realistic and cost effective solutions that will meet the needs of our business going forward”, said Chris Rixon, Governance Manager for Pernod Ricard Pacific. “In choosing AT&T we have a seamless network, with a single provider managing both our domestic and trans-Tasman requirements.”
