Dynaflow Wins Cisco Business Makeover Contest
Dynaflow Wins Cisco Small Business Makeover Contest
AUCKLAND, New Zealand, 17 July, 2009 — Cisco today announced Wanganui-based Dynaflow as the winner of its second Small Business Makeover contest on TV3’s ASB Business show.
Selected from among 170 entries, Dynaflow will receive $50,000 worth of technology from Cisco, installed by partner Business Online Limited. Dynaflow anticipates the technology makeover will be used to connect its offices in Wanganui, Wellington and Auckland and boost productivity and collaboration between employees.
In addition, Dynaflow cited use of Cisco’s IP telephony as a specific area where the business expects to see significant gains from the makeover process.
“The opportunity we see for Dynaflow in winning this contest is substantial,” said Geoff Lawrie, country manager, Cisco New Zealand. “A family-owned Kiwi business is the perfect recipient for this prize. To some extent, we picked Dynaflow as the winner of this competition because they are typical, rather than unique. We think if we can show how this technology can bring productivity and cost benefits flow, then this example will resonate with thousands of companies like them.”
Dynaflow specialises in sales of hydraulics, hoses and fittings for industrial applications. Scott Clarke, director of Dynaflow, was reached in Wellington this morning and notified of their selection.
The Small Business Makeover contest was open to any local company with fewer than 50 employees. Entrants were required to write a short description of how the technology makeover would help their business.
