Exceltium Expands Again With New Senior Consultant Appointment

New Zealand's most successful corporate and public affairs consultancy,
Exceltium Ltd, has expanded again with the appointment of another new
senior consultant, Barney Irvine.

Mr Irvine brings to Exceltium substantial experience in international
business and management consulting, the government sector and political
and economic analysis.

With a background in languages, foreign and defence policy, and the
Latin American region, Mr Irvine is a former intelligence officer for
agencies including the External Assessments Bureau within the Department
of Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Mr Irvine's most recent role was with P4 Consultants Ltd in Santiago,
where his role included undertaking a strategic review of the Chilean
tourism industry for that country's Ministry of Economy as well as
advising various New Zealand companies on market-entry strategies.

Mr Irvine has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) with First Class Honours and a
Master of International Business (MIB), both from the University of
Auckland. He is a recipient of a Tertiary Education Commission
Enterprise Scholarship, a University of Auckland Post-graduate
Scholarship, was the top MIB student in his year and his work has been
published in the University of Auckland Business Review.

Exceltium Managing Director Matthew Hooton said the company's growth
strategy would see it remain Auckland-based in order to remain close to
its clients and the productive part of the economy, but the company
would move to open a permanent Wellington office in the near future to
reduce the current weekly travel demands on its Auckland-based team.
