'Seek' Voted Best Employment Site In New Zealand

Media Release July 31, 2009

'Seek' Voted Best Employment Site In New Zealand

New Zealand job site SEEK has again received the annual NetGuide Best Employment Website Award.

The event is designed to acknowledge the best of the web and is determined by public vote. At a time when increasing numbers of New Zealanders are searching for jobs, General Manager Annemarie Duff says public vote for SEEK is the best kind of recognition,

"We're thankful to everyone who voted for us. Our aim is to provide the best possible experience for job seekers, so when they vote us number 1, it's a great endorsement for the value that our site is delivering."

In July, Nielsen NetRatings counted record levels of jobseeker activity with over 700,000* unique visitors heading to the site.

"In uncertain economic times we are working to ensure we have more job opportunities available than anywhere else, and we are continually looking for ways to improve the job search experience" Ms Duff commented.

SEEK has recently updated website functionality, to help job seekers find the most relevant jobs - even faster. A new salary search feature has just been launched; enabling search by salary first, followed by further refinement of location, industry and job title.
