Largest event for business starts today

Expo visitor to win smart marketing prize worth $100,000

New Zealand’s largest event for business starts today in Christchurch at the Convention Centre. The Bizzone Business Expo attracts over 13,000 business owners nationwide and this year has a special smart marketing focus to get business proactively addressing the changing markets.

Everyone visiting the 2009 Bizzone Business Expo in Christchurch will be in to win a smart marketing prize worth $100,000. worth of smart marketing advice just by stepping through the doors.

The prize, one of the largest ever to be offered by a New Zealand business, will be drawn from everyone attending the Bizzone Business Expos in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch.

The Bizzone Business Expo was established as part of a business support package that comprises the Vero Excellence in Business Support Awards and New Zealand’s largest circulating business magazine.

Smart marketing is this year’s Bizzone Business Expo theme and Bizzone managing director Sarah Trotman says the $100,000 prize is just the newest element of Bizzone’s total business support package.

The ‘Smart Marketing’ prize will comprise marketing advice and mentoring, expert advice, SMS marketing, online advertising, design services, printing services, Marketing Association courses, advertising on Newstalk ZB, in various business n NZ Business magazines and on OGGI outdoor advertising billboards.

“It is essential that companies, both large and small, learn to get ‘smart’ and
market ‘smart’ given the challenging economic times,” Sarah Trotman says.

“The Bizzone Business Expo will provide business people with a host of smart marketing ideas and The National Bank Seminar Series, free to all expo visitors, will be devoted to smart marketing expertshave a dedicated smart marketing morning. People can also get advice from some of the country’s smartest marketing experts including Sue McCarty, chief executive of the Marketing Association and Brian H Meredith from The Marketing Bureau. , the Bizzone Business Expo sponsors: OGGI, NewtalkZB, Auckland City Council and CarboNZero.”

There will be a new Smart Marketing zone at the expo and a smart marketing school comprising smart marketing workshops each day of the expo from marketing expert Alex MannDave Wild, one at 11am and one at 2pm. Attendees can register for this by emailing office@bizzone.com

The Bizzone Business Expo is held annually in New Zealand in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch and over 13,000500 business people attend the event each year.
