More Success For Mortgage Link
Mortgage Link has always been well represented in the New Zealand Mortgage Brokers Association Annual Awards, but this year Mark Childs from Mortgage Link Wairarapa the took top prize.
Mark’s announcement as the New Zealand Mortgage Broker of The Year 2009 was made at the industry’s Gala Awards presentation at Te Papa, Wellington on Friday 14th August. Rod Templeton, Chief Executive of Mortgage Link, said “All the winners and finalists, went through a very rigorous selection and interview process, and needed to show commitment and professionalism to their clients, a strong focus on systems and processes and support for the industry standards and ethics.”
“The results this year again reinforce our teams are expert advisers and we are proud to have the largest number of finalists and winners amongst the branded broker groups”.
Of the regional award winners, Craig Seton (Mortgage Link Manawatu) won the Central North Island award, Mark Childs (Mortgage Link Wairarapa) also won the Greater Wellington award and Glenda French (Mortgage Link Otago) won the Otago/Southland award.
Finalists this year included Karen Mooney and Tom Harrison (Mortgage Link Marlborough) in the Nelson/Marlborough region.
While Mortgage Link feels it is important its brand is recognised by awards such as those from NZMBA, it is equally important the industry continues to develop its advice based strategies. Certainly Mortgage Link has been following a business model where client advice is paramount and long term client relationships form the basis of its business. Templeton said “We continue to be in a challenging environment, but our focus on advice and differentiation by our lender partners is having very positive results. The industry’s credibility will be strengthened by the introduction of stronger regulation and we enthusiastically support this.”
