Former independents bring Harcourts back to Whangarei
1 September 2009 – Harcourts has today returned to the Whangarei property market, with Optimize Realty Ltd commencing to operate its Whangarei office under the Harcourts brand.
The move follows the recent purchase of Harcourts’ Whangarei franchise by Optimize Realty Ltd, which is owned by Mike and Debbie Beazley, who formerly traded their successful real estate company under their own brand.
Harcourts New Zealand CEO Bryan Thomson says he is thrilled there is a Harcourts office in Northland’s main centre again and excited about what the new Harcourts Whangarei team will achieve.
“In just over a year Mike, with the support of his wife Debbie, has established a strong business which was really starting to make a mark in the local market, so it’s great to now have him and his high-performing team as part of the Harcourts group.
“With a skilled, energetic and driven real estate professional like Mike at the helm and all of the resources and support available from Harcourts I’m confident our newest Harcourts team will build on their success and raise the bar for real estate service in their area.”
Mr Beazley, who has been in the real estate industry for eight years, says the offer to join Harcourts, which is New Zealand’s largest real estate group, was an opportunity he couldn’t refuse.
“Since setting up Optimize in 2008 we’ve achieved a good level of success and started to establish a strong reputation in the local area, but we couldn’t turn down the chance to be part of the Harcourts group, which has such a well-known and respected brand, a good company culture and offers excellent technology, training and support.”
Formerly in sales and marketing in the corporate world, Mr Beazley says that with all of the Harcourts advantages he is confident his company will become a dominant player in the local market.
The Beazleys are currently joined in their business by two sale consultants and an office administrator. Together they assist sellers and buyers in the residential, rural, coastal and commercial segments of the property market in the Whangarei district.
Their newly rebranded Harcourts Whangarei office is well located at 134 Bank Street, which is one of the town’s main streets.
