Microsoft releases computing mice designed to match your mood

AUCKLAND October 14, 2009: The demand to have stylish, compact computing accessories that match your PC and your personality is here. With IDC predicting that netbook shipments could reach 22 million by the end of 2009(1), Microsoft is answering this call with the release of the Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000.

This trendy little mouse is the perfect partner to any laptop or netbook. Available in black, white, berry pink, and lime green, this funky little accessory is smarter than just looks.

The Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 has built-in BlueTrack Technology allowing you to use it on virtually any surface (2) – letting you take your mouse wherever your work takes you. This mouse sports ultimate portability with a tiny Nano transceiver and is perfect whether you are left or right handed, thanks to its ambidextrous design.

“With the variety of laptops, netbooks and smartphones available, our technology is seen as another way to reflect your own personal style,” said Joel Ruzich, Senior Group Category Manager, Microsoft Hardware ANZ “The Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 is a great way to express some personal flair and style and BlueTrack Technology lets you use the mouse where and when you need to.”

BlueTrack Technology and netbooks go more places together:
BlueTrack Technology works on more surfaces than laser and optical mice (3)— and performs flawlessly on smooth and shiny surfaces (2) such as granite, marble and uneven surfaces such as carpet and unfinished wood. It’s also durable and resistant to dust and dirt, so you can be confident that your mouse will work where you need it to.
