Toyworld's Annual Top 20 Hot Toys

With the official start of the holiday shopping season upon us Toyworld has today released its annual list of what Kiwi kids will most want from Santa this year.

Toyworld is one of Australasia's largest toy retailers and compiles the annual list of favourite toys from sales trends from its 37 stores around the country.

This year's top toys include 20 of the newest and most exciting toys for kids of all ages, guaranteed to bring hours of fun to children around the country for the festive season.

Toy Buyer for Toyworld Paul Hodgkiss says, "Popular ranges are selling well despite the recession because there are so many different price points."

"Toys on the list sell from as little as $5.99 so there's a toy for every budget," he says.

"The most popular toys tend to sell out before Christmas every year so we always advise parents to act quickly if their children want a toy from the Top 20 list to avoid disappointment."

The Toyworld Annual Top 20 Hot Toys for Christmas 2009 are listed below in alphabetical order:

1) Bakugan Bakubowl Arena -- The latest from the Bakugan range of action-figure warriors which tuck into spheres and pop open when they're rolled onto a game card.
