Bobux’ new Baby

Media Release

Bobux’ new Baby

Looking for a cute Christmas present for a baby or toddler who is just learning to take their first steps?

Head over to the new Bobux retail store in East Tamaki which is showcasing a range of the company’s 70 plus styles of soft baby shoes.

Bobux began 19 years ago when architect Chris Bennett and his wife Colleen, could not find soft shoes for their young daughter, Chloe. Pediatricians and podiatrists recommend that toddlers learn to walk with soft shoes as the soles of their feet are very delicate, and so the Bennetts decided to go into business to develop a range of baby and toddler soft soled leather shoes “that stay on.”

Bobux is now a leading world brand of soft infant shoes, and produce more than 700,000 shoes a year which are now sold in over 30 countries including the United States, United Kingdom and in Europe, plus Shanghai, where the company has a dedicated retail space in an up market shopping complex.

The baby and toddler shoes are hand made in New Zealand of the highest quality eco leather, using water based colours and feature a huge range of designs, such as teddy bears, buzzy bees, trains, flowers, footballs and tigers (see picture).

While soft sole baby shoes are still the company’s core range, Bobux is now producing flexible, moulded sole shoes for up to four year olds, and five years ago Bobux introduced children’s clothing to its range, most of it made from mercot (a merino/cotton fabric, which is ideal for babies’ skin as the merino is on the outside).

For those who enjoy shopping at home, Bobux also has an online store.

Bobux shop address: 35 Allens Road, East Tamaki.
