Welcome to the December 3 2009 issue of the BNZ Weekly Overview.

This week we are running our last confidence survey for 2009. In the Weekly Overview we take a look at prospects for household spending and business investment, note that wholesale interest rates have eased slightly recently while the currency is roughly where it was a week ago, and discuss the latest housing data released this week. The numbers do nothing to alter the basic fundamental in housing which is construction not keeping up with demand. We also include the first of what will be a monthly column from Business Growth Centre The Icehouse. The Icehouse delivers education programs for owner-managers of growing businesses and the BNZ is a Foundation Partner.
