Pacific Blue Announces Lounge Access for Guests

Pacific Blue Announces Lounge Access for Guests at Wellington Airport

Pacific Blue Corporate Plus Guests and Velocity Gold members will have complimentary use of Wellington Airport’s new lounge from today.

The airline and the airport have signed an agreement that allows the two groups of Guests to enjoy the airport-operated Wild at Heart Lounge free of charge when they are travelling on Pacific Blue international or domestic flights from Wellington*.

Pacific Blue CEO Mark Pitt said the recently opened lounge offered a stylish spot for travellers to relax or work prior to their flight.

“We applaud the initiative that Wellington Airport has taken in opening the Wild at Heart Lounge and we’re pleased to be able to offer our valued Corporate Plus Guests and Velocity Gold members complimentary access to the new facility,” he said.

The Wild at Heart Lounge is open daily from 6am to 8pm and offers food and beverage refreshments, Sky TV, wi-fi access and office facilities including computers, printers and workstations. Velocity Gold members and Guests travelling on Corporate Plus fares will be able to use the lounge prior to same-day travel on Pacific Blue.

The airline said it had received frequent feedback from corporate travellers about lounge access, particularly at Wellington Airport, and the agreement would be welcomed by its frequent flyers.

All other Pacific Blue Guests are able to access the Wild at Heart Lounge on a pay-per-use basis. The airport is currently offering an introductory price of $19 per visit until March 2010, a $6 discount on the regular price of $25.

* In order to gain access to the Wild at Heart Lounge at Wellington Airport, Corporate Plus Guests will need to present their same-day boarding pass and lounge voucher (provided to the Guest at Pacific Blue check-in) at lounge reception. Velocity Gold members will need to present their same-day boarding pass and Velocity Gold Membership card at lounge reception.
