The 2nd Annual Hong Kong International Tea Fair will take place, 12-16 August 2010, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre which is being organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the Chinese Tea Culture International Exchange Association. The fair, will be held alongside the annual Food Expo and HK ICMCM (International Conference & Exhibition of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products Fair),
HKTDC (Sydney Office), is putting a call to interested tea growers, and tea related companies to join the Australia and New Zealand Pavilion to showcase the natural, organic and healthy products of Down under Teas. With over 250 exhibitors coming from 17 countries and regions and more than 9,500 trade buyers from 69 countries and regions, and a further about 80,000 public visitors attended the Fair, it is set to be a perfect platform for export opportunities for Australia and New Zealand companies.
Hong Kong's traditional tea culture, its proximity to major tea-producing regions, especially the Chinese mainland, coupled with a well-established financial system and its reputation as the world's freest economy and Asia's prime sourcing hub, are all factors favorable to the city becoming a global marketplace for tea
The tea fair will showcase a variety of tea, processed tea and tea products, tea packaging, processing equipment and testing services, tea ware and the latest tea technology from all over the world. It will also host tea bars, tea organisations, services and publications, bringing exhibitors and buyers together from all over the region to explore business opportunities.
