Auckland 2010 White pages® - two better than one

Auckland 2010 White pages® - two books better than one

In a move which will make it easier to find who you’re looking for, the Auckland White pages book has been split into two separate books - one for business listings and the other for residential listings.

Yellow™ Marketing Director Kellie Nathan says: “Yellow™ is committed to continually evolving our products, both print and online. We know that 70% of referrals to the White pages® are for businesses, so it makes good sense to split business listings out and make it easier for people to find the business they’re looking for”.

The two new White pages books and the Yellow book will be delivered to Aucklanders from next week by local charities and community groups.

Yellow figures show that printed phone books are still widely used and valued by New Zealanders. In Auckland alone, the White pages® book is referred to nearly 1 million times every week.

As part of the annual Yellow Art Awards competition, the cover spot for the Auckland 2010 White pages® business book will be graced with the artwork of 23-year old Joanna Andrei-Lim of East Tamaki.

Ms Andrei-Lim, a Graphic Design student at Auckland’s Media Design School was announced as the Auckland winner for her artwork ‘Auckland City of Sails’ following an online vote by the public.

Ms Andrei-Lim says: “My artwork depicts some of the wonderful things about our city such as the iconic Skytower and the Marina, while incorporating contemporary Maori art.”

The runner up, Intanie Lydia of Auckland City, will have her artwork ‘Made in Auckland’ printed on the front cover of the Auckland 2010 White pages residential book.

Charities and community groups throughout Auckland including schools, church groups, sports clubs and cultural groups will deliver the Yellow™ and White pages® phone books to homes and businesses over the next four weeks as part of their annual fundraising efforts.
