Nominations for AIM Proximity/Colenso BBDO at the Webby Awards
• Yellow Treehouse and Tower Missing Image named finalists
• Yellow Treehouse also wins at 2010 NZ Architecture Awards
The nominations for the 14th Webby Awards have just been announced and AIM Proximity has two campaigns in the running including Tower Missing Image in the Interactive Advertising / Email Marketing category and The Yellow Treehouse (with Colenso BBDO) in the Web / Telecommunications category.
The Webby Awards are the leading international awards honoring excellence on the internet.
Adam Good, CEO, AIM Proximity said: “It is good to see BBDO / Proximity Worldwide lead the pack with 16 nominations including the two from New Zealand.
‘The Webby Awards are the Oscars of the internet and showcase the world’s best internet properties that play a part in people’s daily lives. The nominations this year all seem to be a good mash up of products that incorporate advertising, content and social platforms.
“As well as honoring well-known digital properties such as BBC, Twitter, Facebook, FourSquare, Wikipedia and WebMD, the Webbys also honor innovation in marketing. To have a couple of digital direct pieces of work that are produced for local New Zealand brands recognised globally is exciting.”
Established in 1996 during the Web's infancy, the Webbys are presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. This includes an executive 750-member body of leading web experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities, and associate members who are former Webby Award winners and nominees and other Internet professionals.
