Growing media distribution website, Spin It Wide.com, moved to reassure its clients today that the country’s major metropolitan daily newspaper, the New Zealand Herald, is included in its media database.

The New Zealand Herald alleged in its Stock Takes column on Friday 16 April that Spin It Wide.com did not include its newsdesk, claiming the Herald did not receive an important press statement distributed by one of Spin It Wide.com’s clients.

Spin It Wide.com discussed this issue with the New Zealand Herald and provided evidence that the newspaper did in fact receive the press statement.

“When we pointed out the facts, Stock Takes assured our company it would provide a clarification to its readers. But it has not done so leaving us with the need to provide reassurance to our users,” Spin It Wide.com sales and marketing executive, Miranda Wyndham-Baker, said.

“We have no doubt it was a simple error by the Herald. It was likely that the press statement was deleted, accidently or otherwise, by the newsdesk. However, it does emphasise the importance of carefully reading press material distributed by Spin It Wide.com so that major announcements get the publicity they deserve,” she added.

Spin It Wide.com has an extensive media database to allow users to send media material to national, regional or local media in New Zealand.
