More Accolades For Te Mata Estate Wine Estate

Te Mata Estate was recently given the accolade “New Zealand’s Best Wine producer” by Auckland based critic and wine columnist for The Dominion Post, The Press and the Waikato Times Sam Kim who said “when you consider the exceptional pedigree, the consistently high quality across all varietals and at every price point Te Mata Estate is New Zealand’s best wine producer”.

Last year he described Coleraine, Te Mata Estate’s flagship wine as “the greatest wine ever made in New Zealand”.

This year Te Mata is back at the London Wine Fair with a range of wines including the Queen’s Chardonnay, Te Mata Woodthorpe which was served at Her Majesty’s 80th Birthday celebrations by the Lord Mayor of London.

Confirming their reputation at home and abroad for fine wine, Te Mata Wine Estate has maintained over 25% growth throughout the recession in keeping with the trend of quality wine globally.

From the legendary El Bulli in Spain to the elegant Jean Georges Shanghai, through Europe to the purveyors of fine wine in Russia, Te Mata has established an international reputation which in 2008 was confirmed by globally respected wine critic Robert Parker.

Te Mata Estate was given the ultimate “Outstanding Producer” 5 star accolade by the rigorously independent Parkers Guide which positions the winery in the rarefied atmosphere of producers of the world’s finest wines.

“I am delighted by Sam’s review and really value his opinion,” said Te Mata Estate’s Nicholas Buck,. “Our goal is to be amongst the best in the world. To be the best in New Zealand is the first step.”
