Business mood very optimistic

The mood of business owners was overwhelmingly optimistic at this year’s Auckland Bizzone Business Expo, New Zealand’s largest event for business.

Almost 6000 people visited the expo from 2-4 June showcasing products from 185 exhibitors, many using the event to launch new products and companies.

“EPortal, a web-based solution set up by three PhD students that assists Kiwi companies attain the international environmental management standard, ISO 14001 went live on 2 June, opening day of the expo. Western Mailing launched a new direct e-marketing solution Automail and The Pitch provided a business-dating service for more than 20 businesses wanting to get business from the Rugby World Cup 2011.

First time exhibitor Air New Zealand, which won the “Most Inviting Stand Award” showed off their latest products including their cuddly Skycouch.” Air New Zealand SME Manager Nicola Dennison said they chose the Bizzone Business Expo to forge good relationships with the small and medium business market and was very pleased with the results and feedback.

Catherine Livingstone, the last woman standing on ‘The Apprentice’ TV show and recently launched her own infrastructure systems business, Mission Impossible, said the expo is a great starting point for budding entrepreneurs. She visited the expo in Auckland and will be at the Wellington Bizzone Business Expo from 21-23 July on the Web Widget stand.

“I was delighted at how buoyant and buoyed up business owners are and we have received very positive feedback about the value and offering of our exhibitors this year,” Bizzone managing director Sarah Trotman said.
