‘New Zealand the Lucky Country’
Leadership New Zealand Celebrates ‘New Zealand the
Lucky Country’
(Auckland,
New Zealand)--- In celebration of Leadership Week 2010,
Leadership New Zealand is hosting its fourth annual black
tie dinner themed ‘New Zealand the Lucky Country –
Opportunities for Our Future’ on Friday 2 July 2010 at
6.30 pm at the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
Find out why New Zealand is such a lucky country with guest speakers Sir Stephen Tindall, Founder The Warehouse and Jan Dawson, KPMG Chair with Carol Hirschfeld, Maori Television Head of Programming as MC. Special performances will also be given by local singing sensations Aorere Choir and a themed poem by Selina Marsh (2010 LNZ Participant) performed to live, original music by Karam Meuli (2009 LNZ Alumni).
In 2006, Leadership New Zealand joined together with the Sir Peter Blake Trust , Exelerator and the New Zealand Institute of Management to initiate Leadership Week. By working together, they aim to raise awareness of the importance and impact of leadership and to profile the work that’s being done to develop leadership capability in New Zealand.
“As New Zealanders we need to celebrate our successes and be grateful that we are a country of individuals able to come together and be part of and give back to the greater New Zealand community,” explains Leadership New Zealand Executive Director Megan Barclay. “So this year’s theme is about capitalising on what makes New Zealand a lucky country and how we can turn those into opportunities for future growth. We are extremely lucky to have Sir Stephen Tindall and Jan Dawson speak about their leadership journey and what opportunities they envision for our future. It will be an unforgettable evening of celebrating leadership with fine wine and cuisine, inspirational stories, music, poetry and conversation.”
